North American Poker Tour on ESPN 2

Venetian, Las Vegas

872 players

Prize Pool: 4,017,740

Winner: 1st Tom Marchese
1st place prize (872, 648)

I watched the North American Poker Tour showing on ESPN 2 a few days ago at the tail of end of the show only to be disturbed by its finish. Before I get into the disturbance that took place, I do have to consider the fact these shows are taped and edited to fit at few days to a week of competition into 30min-1hr episodes. With that knowledge in my mind it was quite shocking to watch chip leader Sam Stein heads (runner-up) versus Tom Marchese (winner). I don't know if its me but did anyone see the strings of bad calls that determine the poker tournament. I only watched maybe 30min but it was enough to see stein leak and remind me that tournament Poker is a game that can won or loss in a few hands and good decision making doesn't stop because you have the chip lead.
