World within a World

I mean it when I say the Internet is a "World within a World" and that's putting things lightly. Just a short time ago my concept of the Internet only knew of surfing so pretty much that's was my role in the bigger scheme, "just a surfer surfing the vast wonders of the deep blue Web." Until recently I didn't imagine I would be involved in blogging or web building or might I dare say a contributor to the Global function that is the World Wide Web. What's next for the amateur?
